Waddling Whimsy

In a sunlit meadow, a duckling discovers a world of enchantment amidst a sea of dandelions. Its tiny feet stirred the fluffy white seeds with each waddle, setting them afloat on the breeze. The air filled with whimsy as the duckling's joyful antics transformed the dandelion field into a playground of magic.
 
A number of techniques and mediums were used in the creation of this piece. The background is fabric painted and the duckling, leaves and bloom were achieved through quilting, applique, embroidery, and textile techniques.
