Sloe Serenity

Perched upon a winter branch adorned with dusky Sloe berries is the triumphant spirit of a Blue Tit, its vibrant plumage a burst of joy against the muted skies of winter. With a cheerful hop, the Blue Tit brings forth a melody of happiness, celebrating the abundance of winter's harvest.
 
A number of techniques and mediums were used in the creation of this piece. The background is fabric painted and the Blue Tit, berries and leaves were achieved through quilting, applique, embroidery, and textile techniques.
