Robin's Rest

Perched delicately on the edge of a pinecone, the robin gazes out into the stillness of the forest, its feathers catching the soft winter light. Among the evergreen boughs, it seems a perfect symbol of the season’s quiet grace.
 
Several techniques and mediums were used in the creation of this piece. The background is fabric painted and the Robin, Pinecone and leaves were achieved through quilting, applique, embroidery, and textile techniques.
