Queen Of The Jungle

After an active morning of hunting and prowling her territory, this restless Jaguar is looking for a peaceful nap. To her delight, she finds the perfect branch in the lush green canopy of the Rainforest. Climbing high, she sprawls over the weathered branch and flops herself upon it. Happy, she readies herself for sleep.
 
A number of techniques and mediums were used in the creation of this piece. The background is fabric painted and the Jaguar, branch and leaves were achieved through quilting, applique, embroidery, and textile techniques.
