Pounce And Play

On a winding path softened by summer, one fox cub leaps high into the air, suspended in a moment of wild joy before pouncing down on its sibling, who lies sprawled on its back, paws reaching skyward in playful surrender. The sunlit grass sways around them like a green sea, holding their laughter and mischief in its gentle hush. 
 
A number of techniques and mediums were used in the creation of this piece. The background is fabric painted and the fox cubs, grass and path were achieved through quilting, applique, embroidery, and textile techniques.
