Nibble Nook

In the heart of an orchard, where sunlight filtered through leaves like golden lace, nestled in its branches, a plump, juice pear cradles a tiny Harvest Mouse in its embrace. Within the pears, soft, pulpy walls, this mouse has found warmth, shelter, and a taste of heaven. It looks out with twinkling eyes to survey the orchard surrounding him. 
 
A number of techniques and mediums were used in the creation of this piece. The background is fabric painted and the Harvest mouse, pear and leaves were achieved through quilting, applique, embroidery, and textile techniques.
