Sweet As A Pea

The little harvest mouse clambers up the side of an old cane, its tiny paws gripping the tangled stems of Sweet Peas. Eyes fixed on the plump pod dangling just within reach. With a swift nibble, it settled in, savouring its prize as the soft scent of flowers drifted through the garden.
 
Several techniques and mediums were used in the creation of this piece. The background is fabric painted and the mouse, blossom and leaves were achieved through quilting, applique, embroidery, and textile techniques.
