Marsh Fritillary

Resting peacefully in Britain's marshlands, this Marsh Fritillary flutters above the landscape, before relaxing upon a fern leaf.
 
Displayed in a small glass and gold, brass display measuring 5.5cm X 5.5cm X 3.5cm, with a twine hanger. Please note this sculpture is double-sided.

Several techniques and mediums were used in the creation of this piece. The butterfly was embroidered and fabric painted and the fern was embroidered.
