Ice-Kissed Perch

Perched atop a frosted thistle, the robin’s vibrant chest gleams like fire against the delicate silver of the frozen morning. Its presence breathes life into the icy stillness, a quiet promise that even in winter’s grasp, warmth and beauty endure.
Please note that the background is a light purple grey colour and not as dark as shown on the photos.
 
Several techniques and mediums were used in the creation of this piece. The background is fabric painted and the Robin, frost and dried thistle were achieved through quilting, applique, embroidery, and textile techniques.

This piece has been professionally framed, with a white mount and white box frame, with glass. It is ready to hang.
