Hibernation Harvest

With soft paws wrapped around a fallen hazelnut, the dormouse gathers his treasure beneath the fading autumn light, each morsel a promise for the long winter’s sleep ahead. 
 
Several techniques and mediums were used in the creation of this piece. The background is fabric painted and the Dormouse, Hazelnut and leaves were achieved through quilting, applique, embroidery, and textile techniques.

This piece has been professionally framed, with a white mount and white box frame, with glass. It is ready to hang.
