Hare Among the Clouds Of Cotton

Among the cotton meadow, where white tufts gleamed like fragments of fallen sky, a brown hare rises gracefully, ears poised to the secrets carried by the wind. The air is still but full of life, and in a moment, the hare becomes part of the quiet beauty.
 
A number of techniques and mediums were used in the creation of this piece. The background is fabric painted and the hare, cotton and seed heads were achieved through quilting, applique, embroidery, and textile techniques.
