Graceful Chorus

In the tranquillity of the wild, the seasons change, drying the vegetation and forming soft beautiful seeds. It is this that cradles a wren with sturdy grace, a natural stage for its harmonious tune. Proud the wren stands tall, its tail lifted high in a regal display, he unleashes a triumphant song into the vast expanse.
 
A number of techniques and mediums were used in the creation of this piece. The background is fabric painted and the Wren, seeds and leaves were achieved through quilting, applique, embroidery, and textile techniques.
