Frosty Oasis

Perched upon a holly tree frosted in winter's chill, a red-breasted robin stands as a beacon of warmth and colour against the icy embrace of the season. Its vivid plumage echoes the crimson berries, creating a striking tableau of contrast amidst the frost-kissed branches.
 
A number of techniques and mediums were used in the creation of this piece. The background is fabric painted and the Robin, berries and leaves were achieved through quilting, applique, embroidery, and textile techniques.
