Cotton Harvest

Climbing up the stem of a dried Cotton plant, a small Wood Mouse merrily dangles amid cotton buds. Soft, fluffy and cushioned its buds will make excellent bedding for its home.
 
Several techniques and mediums were used in the creation of this piece. The background is fabric painted and the mouse, leaves and seed were achieved through quilting, applique, embroidery, and three-dimensional techniques.
