As Mad As A March Hare

This weary female hare has had enough of being chased through fields by this persistent male hare who is trying to mate with her. Finally, she can't take anymore, so she turns, stands on her two hind legs and tries to fend him off in a fierce boxing match!
 
A number of techniques and mediums were used in the creation of this piece. The background is fabric painted and the hares, grass, and water were achieved through quilting, applique, embroidery, textile techniques.
