A Bounty Of Feathers

In a tender display of nurturing love, a Wren delicately perches upon a dried lily seed head, its beak adorned with a precious bounty of feathers gathered to line its nest. Amidst the whispering breeze, each feather becomes a tender offering, woven with care into the cozy sanctuary where new life will soon unfurl.
 
Several techniques and mediums were used in the creation of this piece. The background is fabric painted and the Wren and lily head were achieved through quilting, applique, embroidery, and textile techniques.
