A Playful Lesson
In a grass meadow alive with the spirit of spring, a mother fox gently guides her young cub in the art of hunting, offering an abandoned mallard egg as a playful lesson. With gleeful abandon, the cub pounces and rolls the egg through the tall grass, its playful antics a joyful celebration of newfound discovery.
Several techniques and mediums were used in the creation of this piece. The background is fabric painted and the Fox, grass, and egg were achieved through quilting, applique, embroidery, and textile techniques.
